The Rev. Pierce Wittfield Klemmt is the Rector of
Christ Church (Episcopal), Alexandria, Virginia, and is a graduate of
Yale Divinity School. Following ordination, Pierce served as Associate
Rector of St. Mark’s Church in Chicago, Illinois, Rector of Trinity
Church in Troy, Ohio, and Rector of Christ Church in Springfield,
Missouri. He has served Christ Church, Alexandria since 1994.
Historically, Christ Church has been the home of leaders in the
community and beyond and Pierce continues that tradition. Recently, he
served on the boards of the Alban Institute and New Neighbors Education
Center. He is currently a board member for Alexandria Community Trust,
Partners for Sacred Places, Tutu Institute for Prayer and Pilgrimage,
and the Alexandria Seaport Foundation, where he also serves as a mentor
for the program.
